Dubai RTA simplifies the process of receiving a driver permit online for professional passenger transport drivers

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has made it easier for professional passenger transportation drivers to get a driver permit online. Drivers may now obtain permits quickly rather than waiting 24 hours for approval.

According to Sultan Al Akraf, Director of Driver Affairs at RTA's Public Transport Agency, this digital transformation approach for permits applies to a variety of drivers, including taxi drivers, luxury car drivers, and school bus drivers.

During this process, the driver's affiliated company files a permit application to the RTA website and pays the relevant payments. The motorist must next download the Dubai Drive app on their phone and complete pre-registration. After the firm completes the application, the driver will obtain the digital permit via the RTA-Dubai Drive app. This cutting-edge technology effort complements Dubai's Smart City plan and RTA's third strategic aim of "People Happiness." The goal of these digital permits for professional passenger drivers and school bus drivers is to increase efficiency and reduce time for individuals applying.
