Installations
Throughout the week, interesting installations will take over d3, including The Altostrata, a 3D-printed pavilion composed of a biodegradable sugar-based substance. There will also be a traditional shelter created from sustainable cement alternatives by architects Wael Al Awar and Kazuma Yamao.
ABWAB
This show, which means 'doors' in Arabic, highlights designs from the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia. Abdalla Almulla, Emirati architect and founder of MULA design firm, has constructed a pavilion this year employing ecological practises. Throughout the six-day festival, performances will take place here.
Marketplace
The Marketplace will take place in the heart of d3 from Saturday, November 11 to Sunday, November 12. You will be able to shop for handcrafted crafts, and sustainably sourced things, and sample a variety of foods. Meanwhile, kid-friendly activities will keep them amused.
A series of seminars, presentations, and masterclasses might also be made available to the public. A variety of speakers will discuss a wide range of design topics.
