NewsIn order to empower small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in Dubai, the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) has announced a ground-breaking cooperation with noon, a top local digital platform. The program will be launched through e-commerce. This program, which is a component of the larger Dubai Traders initiative, is in line with the D33 Dubai Economic Agenda and embodies His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's goal of enhancing Dubai's standing as a major international center for entrepreneurship.
In order to help SMEs establish a strong online presence, digitize their supply chains, and get access to e-commerce channels, Dubai Traders was created. The project will give SMEs a variety of tools, incentives, and support to flourish in the digital marketplace by working with top digital solution providers.
Mohamed Alabbar, the founder of noon, and Helal Saeed Almarri, the director general of DET, were present at the signing ceremony to officially cement the relationship. The CEOs of noon and Dubai Economic Development Corporation (DEDC), Hadi Badri and Faraz Khalid, inked the agreement.
The initiative, which will first concentrate on e-commerce, will provide SMEs a wide range of advantages, such as assistance with onboarding, training, enhanced visibility through advertising credits, and speedy delivery choices through noon's quick-commerce platform. Midday's Mahali program will also provide individualized support to Emirati sellers.
Through the Dubai Traders initiative and the larger D33 agenda, this partnership aims to promote innovation and grow the digital economy in Dubai, highlighting the successful synergy between the public and commercial sectors in the city.
