The Dubai Assembly for Generative AI will be held on October 11, according to the Dubai Media Office. The Assembly intends to define the future of generative AI by introducing governments and society to the major tools and possibilities afforded by modern technologies, as well as highlighting critical areas and industries where AI can be utilised to promote progress and improve quality of life. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dubai Future Foundation, has directed the event.
Sheikh Hamdan said: “Dubai has emerged as one of the cities with the fastest rates of adoption of new technologies and the highest uptake of their cutting-edge applications across the economy and government. The Dubai Assembly for Generative AI seeks to develop an inclusive vision for the future of generative AI, encompassing its forthcoming advancements and the promising opportunities it offers.
“Governments will experience profound changes due to technological advancements, particularly in the realm of AI. The rapid pace of these transformations necessitates a profound understanding and forward-thinking approach for shaping the future and converting challenges into new opportunities.”

The statement comes on the heels of the recent foundation of the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI), which intends to help Dubai's government institutions in utilising generative AI capabilities to enhance performance and offer better services based on future technology.
