Dubai: Jashn-e-Rekhta Dubai, the world’s largest celebration of the Urdu language, literature, and culture, is all set to return next month, featuring over 50 artists and speakers from the UAE, India, Pakistan, and other countries.
Building on the overwhelming success of last year’s edition, this two-day festival will take place at Zabeel Park on February 1 and 2, offering an even more spectacular experience. Attendees from diverse backgrounds can enjoy an enriching blend of performances, interactive sessions, and cultural activities.
The event will be headlined by renowned celebrities and literary icons such as Saba Qamar, Imran Abbas, Javed Akhtar, Zehra Nigah, and Samina Peerzada, who will participate in thought-provoking discussions and recitals. The festival will span two stages, Mehfil Khana and Dayaar-e-Izhaar. Key attractions include a grand mushaira featuring contemporary poets from India and Pakistan, a women’s Sufi qawwali group, and musical performances by celebrated artists like Piyush Mishra, Shafqat Amanat Ali, and Ali Sethi.
Guests can also indulge in diverse regional and cultural cuisines at the Aiwan-e-Zaiqa Food Festival, while exploring a vibrant collection of books, crafts, and literary treasures.
