With the opening of a new Dh3.5 billion (about $1 billion) mixed-use project by Kuwait Real Estate Company (Aqarat) and IFA Hotels and Resorts, Sharjah will have the longest "green river" in the Gulf.
The "green river" in the recently launched Al Tay Hills will be 2.5 kilometers long, situated on Emirates Road close to Sharjah Grand Mosque. It will provide a great deal of green space, provide natural beauty to the project, and act as the development's major artery and natural lung.
The "green river" is a distinctive recreational shape that offers fresh air, designated walking paths, and relaxation places, according to Jamal Al Shawish, chief of sales and marketing at IFA Hotels & Resorts.
Playgrounds, a mosque, eateries, a café, shops, swimming pools, and 11 kilometers of walking and cycling trails are also included in the project.
The recently opened neighborhood will include 1,100 townhouses and villas with three to six bedrooms, spanning six million square feet, and prices ranging from Dh1.8 million to Dh7.2 million.
The first of the project's three phases is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2028.
