Soon, Mushrif National Park in Dubai will provide hikers with a nearly 10-kilometer mountain track that they may enjoy for free all year long. The Dubai Municipality announced that it has created a 9.7 km long trail, the first of its type in Dubai, with different routes for both amateurs and experts.

This route, which has an 8.3-kilometer yellow leisure track and a 1.4-km orange sports track, will be accessible to the public beginning on June 20, according to the city body.

According to the director, hikers and tourists will be able to utilize the trail at no cost during the entire year. It is made up of numerous sculptures, wooden stairways and bridges, slopes, and rest spots that provide visitors a thorough overview of Mushrif Park's topography and animals. Administrative and supervisory staff are also present at the track points to help hikers and ensure their safety.

To safeguard the safety of hikers and tourists when utilising the trails, the Municipality has developed a number of rules. These include making sure that mountain hikers have access to emergency communication tools, are carrying enough drinking water, and are dressed appropriately, have appropriate footwear, and are carrying hiking safety equipment. Additionally, if they are accompanied by an adult, youngsters between the ages of 12 and 15 are allowed to utilise the tracks.

The Municipality also emphasised the need for hikers to follow the trail etiquette and instructions noted on the boards, make sure they safely exit the mountain bike trail in Mushrif Park before crossing and making way for cyclists, always walk in the direction of the trail and not the opposite, and stick to the designated track.

Additionally, hikers must exercise caution while selecting the appropriate track level because the orange track is intended for expert athletes with greater levels of fitness and endurance. The Municipality further highlighted that activities like cooking, smoking, camping, and spending the night in the woods following a walk must be avoided.

In Mushrif National Park, the Dubai Municipality has previously installed mountain biking trails and a 50-kilometer professional track. Three courses have been set up in the skills area: a green track for beginners, a blue track for intermediates, and a red track for experienced mountain bikers.
