Alserkal Art Week, which honors contemporary ingenuity and genius, is known for presenting some of the most significant and avant-garde artists from the area and beyond. Unmissable artist talks, workshops, films, open studios, and walkthroughs are all part of the week-long series.
From Sunday, April 13 to Sunday, April 20, the festival will take place at Alserkal Avenue, the center of the local art scene. Contemporary art installations and exhibitions will be accessible by foot from one another.
The event's underlying subject for 2025 is "A Wild Stitch," and visitors can enjoy a range of exhibits, artworks, and performances.
Highlights of the program include more than 15 new gallery shows that tackle issues of identity, resiliency, and displacement. These exhibitions feature pieces by artists from South Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.
Vanishing Points, coordinated by Nada Raza and featuring Pakistani artist Imran Qureshi, is a must-see event during Alsekal Art Week. Qureshi invites us to view the world as a tiny by erasing distances through the use of photography, film, painting, and installation.
