Abu Dhabi University launches AirFarm on campus; showcases an amalgamation of futuristic technologies for food security and sustainable agriculture

An inflatable and transportable AirFarm on campus has been launched by Abu Dhabi University (ADU) on campus. The initiative, which was initiated under ADU's "Innovate Strategy" plan, resulted from the University's recent partnership with RBK Company, a holding company led by Rashed Bin Khalfan Al Mutawa Al Dhaheri, and Midbar, a South Korean ag-tech company.

Signifying a partnership between ADU, Midbar, and RBK, the three aim to establish a commercial base committed to providing supply and R&D solutions for a variety of industries in the United Arab Emirates, including water desalination, agriculture, IoT, and healthcare. IoT and AI are just two examples of the cutting-edge technology that AirFarme presents together with more than 15 "state-of-the-art solutions" for sustainable agriculture and food security.

ADU's top brass, including Chancellor Professor Ghassan Aouad, Vice Chairman Saeed Bin Rashed Khalfan Al Dhaheri of RBK, and CEO of Midbar Moses Seo, were present at the inauguration. They were joined by representatives from RBK, Gracia Group, and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, among others.Visitors may walk around the AirFarm and experience its first harvest.
