In addition to deploying robots to educate the public about traffic laws and promoting safety awareness, Abu Dhabi Police also installed a virtual reality driving simulator that allows residents to experience a close-to-life simulation of driving functions such as braking and steering. The simulator will also show digital awareness videos via a rear-view screen via computer-generated imagery (CGI). Since school has started, the digital traffic patrol will also include home visits and instructions to private drivers, domestic workers, parents, and other community members on how to safely handle children in cars and on the road.
These initiatives are a part of the digital patrol, which encourages motorists, families, students, and other road users to follow the law.
The police will also host talks, give out presents, and hand out pamphlets as part of the program.
