The UAE has inaugurated a new digital hub that will provide cutting-edge resources and technologies to improve Arabic instruction. According to an official who spoke to Khaleej Times, the ZAI Platform is an open-source learning platform primarily for Arabic teachers, "who can access all the resources free of charge."
Furthermore, materials for learning Arabic will be made available to non-native speakers, according to Dr. Hanada Taha Thomure, endowed chair of Arabic Language at Zayed University. By providing teachers and students with easily available resources, the platform seeks to revolutionize the way Arabic is taught and studied.
The center contains training materials, poems, morphology visuals, and Arabic vocabulary visuals for teachers. It offers conferences, webinars, and instructional advice. "We are constantly working to add new resources to the platform."
Under the direction of Zayed University, a team of people worked together to establish the ZAI Platform. The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center, in collaboration with NYU Abu Dhabi, has advanced the BAREC tool, and the Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) is assisting in the development of the first Arabic Phonics Program.
