The 11th World Government Summit (WGS), with the topic "Shaping Future Governments," will be held in Dubai on February 12–14. It will address current global concerns and concentrate on possibilities and challenges for the future. The three-day summit is anticipated to draw over 4,000 participants, 120 official delegations, 85 international and regional organisations and institutes, specialists, and over 25 heads of state and government.
President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame; William Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya; and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, the President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan; Prime Minister of the Republic of India Narendra Modi; and President of Madagascar Andry Rajoelina, Maldives President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, Mauritius President Prithvirajsing Roopun and Seychelles President Wavel Ramkalawan are among the heads of state speaking and attending the event.
About 25 strategic papers and the Global Ministers Survey, which invites ministers to give their thoughts on important global issues, are scheduled to be unveiled at the summit.
WGS addresses six primary topics. On Day Zero, the Arab Fiscal Forum will discuss social safety nets, energy subsidiary reforms, and macroeconomic trends. The inaugural session will feature a speech by Kristalina Georgieva, managing director of the International Monetary Fund.
There will be several seminars under the Future of Work and Future of Mobility topics on Day One, which is February 12. Nobel laureates will lead a roundtable discussion on scientific discoveries and applications, as well as a ministerial roundtable on climate action.
Forums on geotechnology, AI, government experience, and services will be held on the second day, which is February 13.
On the last day of the summit, February 14, strategies for sustainable investments in developing economies will be among the topics of discussion. The Future of Space Forum and the Global Health and Education Forums are among the other events.
A number of international awards will also be presented to WGS, including the Dubai International for Best Sustainable Development Practices, the Global Award for the Best Government Applications, the Creative Government Innovations Award, the Best Minister in the World Award, and the Global Government Excellence Award.
