Ummul Khaiwain logistics city and cargo airport launched

During today’s council meeting, H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain and Chairman of the Executive Council, revealed the creation of the Logistics City and Umm Al Qaiwain Cargo Airport. This initiative is a key part of the emirate’s Vision 2033, aimed at bolstering its status as a leading global logistics hub.


The Logistics City is a comprehensive hub designed to enhance transportation and trade activities, promoting efficient logistical operations and seamless connections across various transport modes. With its state-of-the-art infrastructure, the city boasts advanced warehouses and innovative systems in transportation and shipping, aiming to attract investments and businesses, while boosting the local economy of the emirate.


The Umm Al Qaiwain Cargo Airport project takes advantage of its strategic position within the emirate, designed to handle and process air cargo shipments efficiently. This facility will facilitate swift and streamlined air freight operations, offering advanced solutions in the shipping industry. It represents a major development for the emirate, generating employment opportunities for young people and reinforcing the government’s efforts towards a prosperous future.
