'Eid Al Etihad' is the official name of the UAE National Day celebrations, the organizing committee declared Tuesday. The name highlights the concept of "union" (Etihad) and commemorates the December 2, 1971, unification of the Emirates. A key component of the nation's "identity, symbolizing heritage, unity, strength, and national pride," is the theme. The Rulers of the Emirates gather to attend the UAE's annual spectacular display on December 2.
This year's show location has not yet been announced. Nonetheless, the committee stated that on the day, there will be several activations in "Eid Al Etihad zones" throughout the seven Emirates.
This year's National Day celebration falls on the final long weekend of 2024. The dates of December 2 and 3 are Monday and Tuesday, respectively. That makes it a four-day holiday when added to the Saturday-Sunday weekend.
The 53rd Eid Al Etihad will emphasize the value of cooperation and sustainability. By recycling or upcycling what they already have, minimizing waste, and reusing resources, residents are encouraged to actively engage.
