UAE has announced the official public holiday marking the birthday of Prophet Muhammad for the private sector

The public holiday commemorating the Prophet Muhammad's (Peace be upon him) birth has been declared by the United Arab Emirates for the private sector. All private sector workers will have a paid holiday, on September 29, 2023,

An equivalent three-day weekend to that of the public sector is created by the holiday and the customary Saturday-Sunday vacation. Given that National Day holidays are on December 2 and 3 — a Saturday and a Sunday — this would be the final long weekend of the year.

Numerous extended weekends were enjoyed by locals in 2023, including a six-day vacation to commemorate the Islamic festival Eid Al Adha and a four-day one to celebrate Eid Al Fitr.
