
The UAE is seeing a dramatic increase in heat due to hot southerly winds, and the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has warned citizens that temperatures will climb throughout the nation this week.
The weather will continue to be mostly sunny with occasional cloud cover. However, temperatures in the interior are predicted to soar between 42°C and 46°C, while those on the coast and in islands may reach as high as 40°C to 45°C. The temperatures in mountainous areas will be between 31°C and 38°C, which is somewhat cooler.
The public is being urged by the NCM's preventive health guidelines to:
- Keep yourself hydrated by consuming a lot of water and other liquids.
- Steer clear of direct sunlight during peak hours.
- Put on airy, light-colored cotton apparel,
- Put on protective gear, such as sunglasses and caps.
