Emirates has responded to the growing demand by launching a plethora of new flights to African locations. The most well-known airline in Dubai will now operate extra flights to three of the largest cities on the continent.
Emirates now operates daily flights between Dubai International Airport and Entebbe, Uganda, up from five weekly flights previously.
Beginning on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, the airline has also boosted the number of flights that connect DXB with Addis Ababa. The Ethiopian capital city will now have daily flights.
Additionally, on Saturday, March 1, Emirates introduced a fourth daily flight to Johannesburg, South Africa, meaning that there will now be a morning slot.
The Ugandan flights are operated via a Boeing 777-300ER which means there will be 718 additional flights between Dubai and Entebbe.
The fourth daily flight to Johannesburg will mean that Emirates is making 49 weekly flights to South Africa which would make it one of the most in-demand destinations in Africa.
