NewsThe General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) - Dubai reports that Dubai had a 52% rise in the number of Golden Visas issued in the first half of this year compared to the same period last year.
The Golden Visa, which was introduced in 2019, is a long-term residence that enables foreigners to live, work, or study in the nation for up to 10 years. Investors, business owners, experts, deserving students, and frontline heroes are just a few of the people who qualify for long-term residency in the UAE. Dubai has granted more than 150,000 golden visas to qualified citizens, investors, professionals, and others as of November 2022.
At a press conference on Tuesday, the GDRFA revealed information on the forthcoming International Conference on Policymaking: The Future of Ports. According to the GDRFA, as foreigners looking for greener pastures and visitors wanting to see the UAE continued to come to the emirate, the number of resident visas in the emirate climbed by 63% while the number of tourist visas increased by 21%.
Due to the successful management of the epidemic and the staging of Expo 2020, Dubai's population has increased dramatically in the years after the outbreak. The emirate's population has increased by almost 72,700 from the beginning of the year, from 3.550 million to 3.623 million.
