Dubai is transforming one of its iconic beaches under a Dhs400 million redevelopment plan.
Al Mamzar Beach will feature night swimming, a dedicated women-only beach, and 1,000 metres of tracks for running, walking, and cycling by late 2025.
Unveiled on Sunday, January 5, the initiative marks the second phase of the Al Mamzar Beach Development Project.
The initial phase, which involves a floating pedestrian bridge, was announced in June last year and has now reached 45 percent completion.
This ambitious project aims to bolster Dubai’s reputation as a top-tier beach destination globally and will focus on enhancing the Al Mamzar Corniche beachfront by the end of this year.
Revamped beach infrastructure will link the creek to the corniche, covering 125,000 square metres with an 80-metre-wide expanse.
