NewsDubai has unveiled 37 new projects and activities aimed at making the city a destination for those who enjoy nature and adventure. Under Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's directions, the Dhs390 million plans were unveiled on Sunday, October 20, as part of the Dubai Countryside & Rural Areas Development Plan.
Along with the creation of five tourist stops, the scenic route will add 97.86 km of bicycle tracks, bringing the overall track length area to 156.61 km. By 2040, the plans are expected to increase the number of tourists travelling along the Saih Al Salam Scenic Route from the present approximately half a million to over three million.
The five new visitor stations on Saih Al Salam Scenic Route are:
The Main Hub Station, close to Al Qudra Lakes, will contain an open-air theatre, a traditional market with many stores offering regional goods, and opulent marquees for camping in desert.
A range of amenities and events will be available at the Wildlife Station, close to Flamingo Lake, including hot air balloon rides. Additionally, there will be upscale campgrounds and hiking paths that connect the Flamingo, Qudra, and Love lakes.
Walking and exercise paths, and an adventure park close to the Oryx platform, are features of the Adventure Station, which is situated close to Expo 2020 Lake. There will also be inexpensive dining options and camping here.
Visitors may ride camels, explore the desert, and partake in traditional cuisine at the camel farm, which is close to the Cultural Experience Station in Al Marmoom. The camel farm also has an entertainment theatre.
A fully integrated place for adventure and desert sports, Desert Adventure Station will be created away from residential areas. Guests can partake in a variety of exciting outdoor pursuits like sandboarding, dune biking, dune climbing, and desert safari excursions.
