4,700 applications received for the position of Youth Minister posted by the PM and ruler of Dubai

The quest for a "distinguished young man or woman" to serve as Youth Minister was launched on social media on Sunday by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Dubai's Prime Minister and Ruler. He posted a job listing on X, formerly Twitter, saying, "To our young sons and daughters in the United Arab Emirates, I am looking for a distinguished young man or woman who represents youth issues, conveys their opinions, and follows government matters that concern them, to become a Minister of Youth with us in the UAE government."
Being "well-versed in their country's issues, aware of their society's reality, active in their work, with a rational approach, courageous and strong in representing their country, and passionate about serving their homeland" were among the traits he claimed were desired in the ideal candidate.
The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers reported receiving 4,700 applications for the job by 6 p.m. on Sunday. According to Ms. Al Mazrui's LinkedIn page, the ministerial position "enables young people to take the lead in shaping the future of the country across government and society." Additionally, it entails making certain that the government's policies incorporate the viewpoints and needs of young people.
