11 new government schools has been launcehed to serve 28,000 pupils across the UAE

Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of the Presidential Court Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed announced the opening of 11 new public schools on Wednesday to accommodate 28,000 students nationwide. Modern schools that were built as part of the Zayed Educational Complex project are at the centre of a significant effort to raise public education standards across the board. During a visit to one of the Fujairah sites, Sheikh Mansour praised the project as a "national achievement."

The schools will have state-of-the-art labs as well as spaces for sports and the arts. There will be at least 86 classrooms and green areas at each school. At the schools, which will emphasise sustainability, smart technology will also be available.

According to capacity, each school is around four times the size of a conventional public school, according to state news agency Wam. To guarantee that the school buildings were completed in time for the start of the new academic year, more than 16,000 engineers, managers, and employees were employed. The President Sheikh Mohamed gave the go-ahead for the Zayed Educational Complex proposal.

The Emirates Schools Establishment, which oversees the running the nation's public schools, together with the Presidential Court and the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, are partners in its administration.

Along with Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Sarah Al Amiri, Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology and Chairman of the Emirates School Education Foundation, and Sara Musallam, Minister of State for Early Education, Sheikh Mansour paid a visit to the Zayed Educational Complex in Mohamed bin Zayed Residential City, Fujairah.

Sheikh Mansour described the undertaking as a "new national achievement". According to him, it is consistent with the UAE's vision for educational institutions, which calls for them to serve as "centres for creativity, innovation, and the creation of future generations".

The process by which more than 30 local administrations collaborated over the course of the previous eight months to build the high-tech sites was explained to Sheikh Mansour. Public schools mostly serve UAE nationals, while some local pupils are also admitted. The government announced ten schools will be run by private companies last year.

Around 14,000 students will be served by Ajyal Schools, also known as Generation Schools, which will be run by prominent private sector education organisations Taaleem, Aldar Education, and Bloom Education. The US curriculum will be implemented in all 10 schools, all of which will be in the Northern Emirates. 28 schools will be managed by this public-private cooperation in three years.
