Strawberry farm in Hatta offers a unique pick-your-own strawberry experience along with free entry

In the sweltering summer heat, a strawberry field thrives amidst Hatta's steep mountains. The good news is that admission to the farm is free, with the farm also providing a distinctive pick-your-own strawberry experience. Later on, a nominal admission charge could be implemented. Visitors can pick strawberries for a price ranging from Dhs 15 to 30 depending on the size. This rate is subject to increase at the busiest time of year.

In addition to growing strawberries, the farm sells jam and juice, which boosts the local economy and builds a sense of communal pride. There are plans to construct a café in the future, that will provide a fully immersive farm-to-table experience by serving sweets and goods prepared with vegetables from the farm.

Four varieties of strawberries are grown on the farm currently. Over 18,000 seedlings are grown by utilising an advanced hydroponic system. The water is piped to irrigate the plants and then returned to the water tank, In a cycle that doesn't require soil, assuring an ongoing supply of nutrients while conserving water. 

Even with the harsh summertime heat, the farm's greenhouse keeps its produce at an ideal temperature, allowing for year-round production. Wintertime growth and development of outdoor seedlings greatly increase yield.
