Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park has launched a cutting-edge electric motorcycle - the Sulmi EB-ONE

The Sulmi EB-ONE is the first market-ready product to come from Sharjah Research, Technology, and Innovation Park's SoiLAB facility, the region's biggest state-of-the-art makerspace. The unveiling is a significant milestone for the UAE's sustainable transport and mobility industry, as well as another step towards the UAE's clean energy ambitions in the run-up to COP28, which will be held in Dubai in December.

The EB-ONE was unveiled at a ceremony attended by SRTIP Chairperson Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), Omar Al Suwaidi, SRTIP CEO Hussain Al Mahmoudi, officials, businesspeople, and media figures. Although electric bikes have been around since 1895, they have never gained traction on a large scale. The Sulmi EB-ONE aspires to be different. It has a sleek appearance, is well-built, has a peak speed of 150km/h, and can go 300km on a single charge. It also has clever technology to improve rider safety. It is totally developed and made in the UAE, making it a symbol of Emirati quality and creativity.
