Residents travelling from Dubai International Airport Terminal 3 can go through passport control in a few seconds by facial recognition

NewsClearing immigration procedures for Dubai may be completed easily now with the improved smart gates featuring face recognition. This allows residents travelling to and from Dubai International Airport (DXB) Terminal 3 to pass through passport checks in a matter of seconds. However, most of the contactless smart gates at the airport terminals in Dubai still need travellers to scan their passports as they arrive and exit.
To access the upgraded smart gates, residents must first register at DXB Terminal 3 using their passport or Emirates ID. Additionally, guests may register at the GDRFA exhibit to make use of the cutting-edge service for their next journey since the organisation has a pavilion at Gitex Global that is open until Friday, October 20. The procedure is simple and quick. All that is required for passengers to pass through the smart gate is to glance at the green light (camera).
There are no identity documents that need to be scanned. Simply take off any items that are obscuring your face, such as hats, face masks, or glasses, to allow the camera to get an accurate scan of your optic print and face. But be prepared with your boarding pass and passport in case you need them.
According to the GDRFA, face recognition is shortly going to be installed across Terminals 1 and 2, with five smart gates at DXB Terminal 3 presently offering it.
