Record-breaking edition of the Umex and SimTex exhibition and conference in Abu Dhabi from January 23 to 25

The Unmanned Systems (Umex) and Simulation and Training (SimTex) exhibition and conference next week in Abu Dhabi will shatter all previous records with spectacular land, water, and air exhibits, as well as future ideas and technologies that are sure to excite.

Under the auspices of Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, the three-day event starting on 23 January at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre is expected to draw in a record number of participants from both domestic and international markets.

The head of the exhibits' Supreme Organising Committee, Major General Mubarak Saeed bin Ghafan Al Jabri, emphasised that this edition is the "biggest and most comprehensive to date," put together by Adnec Group in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence.

Compared to the last edition in 2022, more than 214 exhibiting businesses are expected to participate, representing a growth rate of 19%. The total exhibition space now exceeds 30,000 square metres, a 15% increase. There are more than 35 participating countries, a 30% rise. Up to eleven nations—Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Singapore, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Taiwan, Estonia, the Virgin Islands, and the Czech Republic—will be participating for the first time.

The managing director and managing director of ADNEC Group, Hamid Matar Al Dhaheri, announced the introduction of five new projects, one of which was the Umex commercial platform, which was unveiled with the involvement of over 37 local and international businesses that specialise in the commercial and civilian applications of unmanned systems.

Along with aerial displays above the Sweihan Hills, live land and marine displays of unmanned systems will be held for the first time at the main platform and ADNEC's water channel.

There will be a programming competition aimed at identifying national talent with expertise in programming domains. Along with the introduction of a platform for startups to compete for the "Umex Next Gen Innovation Award," a daily debate session schedule including speakers from top corporations will be launched for the commercial sector.

More than 200 top executives, decision-makers, and experts are anticipated at the Umex and SimTex conference, which is themed "Unmanned Systems, Ascending to New Spaces for Emerging Technologies and Unprecedented Impacts." The attendees will talk about difficulties as well as local and global concerns.
