NewsThe Abu Dhabi Housing Authority has established a new committee to handle all inquiries regarding the "conveyancing" of housing allowances for citizens of the United Arab Emirates.
Only housing grants awarded under laws in force before to October 2, 2018, including transactions involving sales or exchanges with other UAE nationals, will be managed by this committee. (The legal procedure through which property is transferred from one person to another is known as conveyancing.)
At the ISKAN Abu Dhabi Center, requests will be accepted starting today, May 6, and running through July 31.
The pertinent sale or exchange contract as well as an official document attesting to the financial consequences that were paid for or received throughout the conveyance process must be included with the requests.
The citizen must be the owner of the residential land or a viable alternative dwelling choice in the emirate in order for housing grants to be conveyed through sale or purchase. It needs to be pledged not to be sold and to be listed as a housing grant in the Real Estate Register.
Additionally, they are not permitted to simultaneously apply for a home purchase loan, another residential land grant, or a housing grant. Additionally, the wife's written consent is needed.
