With new developments coming to the city, several foreign restaurants, hotels, and brands are making their debut there. The city's architects will spare no effort to ensure that Dubai continues to be among the most attractive cities in the world, whether they are building new developments or repurposing existing ones.
Dubai continues to be a popular tourist destination because of the availability of several the greatest brands from across the globe. Here are five significant redevelopments that are now underway in the city that will alter Dubai's appearance:
Jebel Ali Palm:
The Palm Jebel Ali is Dubai's newest and most upscale beachfront location. The island, which covers a total area of 13.4 square kilometres and doubles the size of Palm Jumeirah, will represent a significant new turning point in Dubai's development. The project would extend Dubai's coastline by around 110 km and include magnificent waterfalls, large green areas, and distinctive waterfront experiences. An incomparable luxury coastal lifestyle will be available to about 35,000 families there.
A variety of transport choices will be available for locals, guests, and communities at Palm Jebel Ali, including mixed-use walkable neighbourhoods, smart city technology, and sustainability practices.
Deira Enrichment Project:
The Deira Enrichment Project (DEP), located on the vibrant waterfront and built in the centre of the busy Deira business area, houses hotels, residences, and offices in addition to retail establishments. By building interconnecting plazas with mixed-use areas, the DEP hopes to revitalise the neighbourhood while preserving the attractiveness and elegance of Deira's historic values and culture. The DEP is changing the look of Deira with cafés, a play area, and a tonne of gold stores.
Pointe:
The Pointe on Palm Jumeirah will be converted into a mixed-use complex, it was announced in May of this year. Residents and visitors alike enjoyed spending their nights at the waterfront area, which was home to various eateries, stores, and the biggest fountain in the world. Developers Nakheel have given the local retailers a year's notice to leave and find new locations. Pointe was renowned for its tranquil atmosphere due to the abundance of open spaces, breathtaking views of the crystal-clear lake, and several shops and restaurants around. The attractiveness of the region was boosted by the Palm monorail.
La Mer:
La Mer South, one of Dubai's most well-liked beaches among locals and visitors, is now being destroyed and transformed into J1 Beach. It will establish itself as a pioneering beach resort destination, providing sea vistas, first-rate F&B options, and a range of opulent choices in the centre of Jumeirah, Dubai.
There are plenty of parking places and valet services for those driving to the beach. A framed waterfront celebration will allow guests to come by boat as well. At the new construction, a number of new eateries from abroad will make their debuts. Throughout the work, the area will be blocked off. The public is expected to be able to use it by the end of 2023.
Dubai International Financial Centre:
Various alterations are being made at the Gate Avenue shopping centre in Dubai's DIFC financial sector. As the mall revised its zone arrangement, a number of stores were shuttered or relocated. Recently, Zone B's main parking lot was also shut down, and hoardings outside feature advertising for Eden House by H&H Development. The Michelin-starred restaurant Moonrise is housed in the residential block Eden House, which is just off Sheikh Zayed Road.
According to mall management, the new construction would "offer commercial, retail, hospitality, and residential spaces" and "will complement the strong offering" that the mall presently has, according to Khaleej Times. Gate Avenue, which stretches for 880 metres from the Gate Building to Central Park Towers, has grown to be a popular spot for children's activities, shopping and the arts.
