Al Mamzar Beach to have a 200-meter floating pedestrian bridge connecting its two sides

Al Mamzar Beach will have a 200-meter floating pedestrian bridge connecting its two sides; this will be the first of its kind in Dubai. Floating bridges are built directly over the water, allowing visitors to cross bodies of water deep below the surface without getting wet.

This occurred as contracts to construct Al Mamzar and Jumeirah 1, two of Dubai's most well-liked beachfront segments, were given out by the city's urban planning council. While they are being constructed, the public beaches will remain partially closed. Safety precautions will be put in place to safeguard users in the open areas. A 1.4 kilometre beach in Jumeirah 1 and a 4.3 km length of beach in Al Mamzar will be constructed as part of the Dh355 million project. It is anticipated that they will be finished in 18 months. The committee posted a video that features several floating decks and platforms, some of which have restaurants, connected to the coast by tiny bridges.

One of the largest problems confronting coastal communities worldwide is climate change, which will be mitigated by elevating the beaches. For this, more than 500,000 cubic metres of beach sand will be utilised.

Additionally, Deira will gain its first 24-hour night beach, according to Emirati officials. Last year, three beaches—Jumeirah 2, Jumeirah 3, and Umm Suqeim 1—opened for night swimming. There will be a 5 km "surrounded by trees" boardwalk, as well as 11 km of bike and jogging paths, connecting the two beaches. They will include beach rest cottages, seasonal event spaces, and areas for exercise, games for kids, and barbecuing.

An automated irrigation system will also be installed on the beaches to maintain their greenery. There will be 1,400 parking spaces available. Other facilities include beach rescue services, WiFi, safety deposit boxes, electronic screens, and 100 security cameras connected to the police and Dubai Municipality central control centres.

The authorities have also released a list of fifty investment options, which include renting out space for water sports, restaurants, shops and commercial kiosks, self-service food and beverage machines, advertising spots, and beach chairs and umbrellas.
