8th edition of Al Dhaid Date Festival will take place from July 25-28 at Expo Al Dhaid, Sharjah

Expo Al Dhaid will host the much awaited 8th edition of the Al Dhaid Date Festival from July 25–28. The event, which is being organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), is expected to draw a large number of palm growers and date lovers from all around the United Arab Emirates. "Ratb Al Kharaif Beauty," a brand-new kid-focused dating competition, will make its festival premiere in the United Arab Emirates this year. This competition joins other major contests like "The Most Beautiful Home-grown Dates" (exclusively for ladies), "Best Lemons," and "Fig Contest" that are planned for the farmers who are taking part. 

The "Rare Dates" competition, which is devoted to agricultural areas in Al Dhaid and the eastern and northern regions, is also making its debut in the eighth season. There will be fierce competition during the event for the substantial awards, which will be given to 130 winners in several categories. These prizes will act as a powerful motivator for the involved farmers to improve the calibre of their regional date products. In addition, a variety of business and economic events and activities, folkloric band performances, contests, and cultural programming aimed at raising awareness of palm trees and their many kinds and variants will be included in the 2024 festival.
