World's tallest well-being resort - Therme Dubai to be opened in 2028

The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, revealed plans on Monday to open Therme Dubai, the "world's tallest well-being resort."

Therme Dubai, the wellness resort, is scheduled to open in Zabeel Park in 2028. With a budget of Dh2 billion, the city is building the world's largest indoor botanical garden and an interactive park that will welcome 1.7 million visitors a year.

The three main elements of the initiative will be Play, Relax, and Restore. "The 100-meter-tall vertical resort will be the first immersive wellbeing destination of its kind, spanning 500,000 square meters," the Dubai Media Office said.

The Emirate's Quality of Life Strategy 2033, which consists of more than 200 initiatives to guarantee the welfare of Dubai's citizens, residents, and tourists, includes the opening of Therme Dubai.

The Dubai government's media office said in May 2024 that the strategy, which was announced last year, would be executed in three stages between 2024 and 2033. It featured proposals for increased green space, AI-driven mobility, and beachside improvements.
