World's largest Lego store has officially opened at Dubai International Airport

At Dubai International Airport, the biggest Lego store in the world has officially opened for its doors. Located near the B Gates of Terminal 3, the store was opened by Lagardere Travel Retail in collaboration with Lego Travel Retail. It is 190 square metres in size and was built to resemble enormous Lego blocks. Additionally, it offers interactive areas meant to spark imagination and interaction and encourage visitors to discover the limitless possibilities that the Lego universe has to offer.

Upon entering the store, patrons are welcomed by an interactive experience that allows them to quickly bring the Lego Minifigure on the screen to life by scanning their palm on the Minifigure Scanner. Customers may browse the store's extensive selection of classic and contemporary Lego kits, including their favourite collections. A product for every age has been included in the selection through careful curation.

The Digibox, an augmented reality tool that makes Lego creations come to life, is also available in the store. Clients may place a creator set in front of the camera on the screen, and moveable pieces will appear during a brief animation of the set being constructed.

The store has a 132-hour-long mosaic wall depicting the famous Dubai skyline made of 33,219 bricks weighing 62 kilogrammes. A 190-cm-tall 3D Lego pilot will also be visible to customers. It took 180 hours to build the pilot, which weighed 134 kg and 45,033 bricks. When combined, these striking works provide tourists the ideal backdrop for photos.

From January 25 to 28, passengers in Concourse B had the chance to meet the walkabout Lego pilot in honour of World Lego Day and the formal launch of the shop at DXB. As part of the celebrations, more than 1,000 Lego presents were distributed to passing tourists.
