User gets rewards whenever they drop plastic bottles and aluminium cans through a 'reverse vending machine'

Reward points are given to members of the public in Ras Al Khaimah anytime they deposit plastic bottles and aluminium cans into a "reverse vending machine" (RVM).

These recycling industry-supporting vending machines, run by the clean technology company Sparklo, have been set up in the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (Rakez).

Residents can receive discount coupons for meals or delivery services only by putting recyclables through the RVMs.

Sparklo will assemble RVMs at its Ras Al Khaimah production facility in the Al Hamra Industrial Zone for installation in residential developments, malls, and other areas around the nation.
