The UAE will play host to this year’s Miss World pageant, set to take place in May.
The announcement was shared on the Miss World Organisation’s Instagram page, with confirmation coming from Julia Morley CBE.

Ms Morley said in the post: “I am delighted to announce the 71st Miss World Festival will be held in the United Arab Emirates.”
The previous edition was held in March 2022, which was technically the 2021 outing.
It’s the first time the competition has come to the UAE after it first started in 1951.
If you want to enter, you have to be unmarried without children and between the ages of 17 and 27 while also being a national of the country you choose to represent.
Pamala Serena represented the UAE at last year’s competition.
Miss World was created in Great Britain and it’s the oldest-running international beauty pageant still running today.
Last year’s winner, Karolina Bielawska – of Poland – will crown her successor at the coronation ceremony.
An exact date and venue for this year’s competition is yet to be confirmed.
