UAE’s Emirates and Etihad Airlines signed MoU; will allow travellers to add more stops within the UAE in their itineraries

Travellers will have extra time to see the nation because to a historic deal between Emirates and Etihad, the two largest airlines in the United Arab Emirates. The two airlines have expanded their interline agreement through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU), enabling passengers to add extra stops inside the UAE to their itineraries.

In a tweet, Etihad referred to the deal as "two airlines, one ticket, and an endless adventure." "Fly into Abu Dhabi or Dubai and return seamlessly from the other airport with a single ticket."

According to a tweet from Emirates, travellers may now "experience more than one UAE destination in a single itinerary."

Customers may buy a single ticket from either carrier to travel into Dubai or Abu Dhabi and then depart from the other. Travellers won't have to catch a flight home from the same airport they came at, making it easier for them to tour the UAE. The time it would have taken them to return to their port of arrival and board a flight out of the UAE is now saved.

According to Emirates, it essentially gives passengers the flexibility of one-stop booking for their whole trip and "convenient baggage check-in".

Travellers can use the networks of either airline to depart from one city and return to a different location served by either Emirates or Etihad.

This summer will see the beginning of the interline. Each carrier will concentrate on building incoming interline traffic from "select points in Europe and China" in the early phases of the extended interline in order to draw tourists to the UAE.

Travellers can reserve their flights through the websites of Emirates or Etihad, online travel agents, or tour operators. The two airlines will work over the ensuing months to make it possible for consumers to book their itineraries to tour the UAE via both airline websites and travel agencies now that the MoU is in place.
