Temperatures in the UAE continue to plunge, as Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah recorded a chilly 1.9℃ at 5am today, following a previous low of 2.2℃ registered on Friday.
The icy weather led to frost accumulation on the mountain, the tallest peak in the UAE. Videos captured floating ice crystals in a water stream and frost settling on car roofs in the area.
At 6:22am, Storm Centre shared a photo revealing the temperature dropping to 0℃, marking the freezing point on Ras Al Khaimah’s mountainous region.
