UAE ranked 22nd among countries hosting global ultra-high net worth individuals, according to the 2024 Hurun Global Rich List

According to the 2024 Hurun Global Rich List, which was issued this week, the United Arab Emirates is rated 22nd among nations that are home to ultra-high net worth individuals worldwide, with 24 billionaires. With 21 billionaires living there, Dubai came in at number 28 on the list of cities with the most billionaires.

The Hurun Global Rich List 2024 included 2,435 firms and 73 countries with 3,279 billionaires, up from 3,112 the previous year. The overall wealth of billionaires rose by 9%, and their number increased by 5%. This year's deadline for calculating wealth was January 15.

Despite losing 155 billionaires who moved abroad, China continued to be the country with the highest number of billionaires in the world (814), according to the ranking.

The richest ten people in the world added $426 billion, or 56% of all new wealth, and account for $1.5 trillion, or 10% of the overall wealth. One is from France, while the other eight are from the US and India.

Because of a spike in Tesla's shares, Elon Musk ($231 billion) has risen to the top of the global wealth rankings for the third time in the last four years. With $185 billion, Jeff Bezos, 60, climbed to the second position. This year, he had a 57% increase in fortune, mostly due to Amazon's market share in cloud computing.
