UAE President has announced 2024 as the Year of Sustainability extending 2023's theme

The President of the United Arab Emirates said today that 2024 will be the Year of Sustainability, carrying over the theme from 2023 into the next year. On National Environment Day, today, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan made the statement.

Speaking to X, the president stated: "On this occasion, we affirm that protecting the environment and preserving resources is a basic priority within the UAE’s established sustainability approach, and a collective responsibility for all members of society."
