NewsMore Indian passport holders are now eligible for the UAE's visa-on-arrival program. Indian nationals holding tourist visas to the US, UK, or EU are now able to enter the country without a visa, according to a Thursday, October 17 announcement by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP).
With this latest change, more Indians may now make use of the UAE's simple visa-on-arrival program, even though the option for certain Indian passport holders has been available for a while.
Points to be noted include:
- Indian nationals are eligible if they have a valid visa, residency permit, or green card from the US, UK, or any other EU nation.
- The visa-on-arrival program is only available if the applicant's passport is valid for at least six months after the date of travel.
- When eligible visitors arrive in the United Arab Emirates, they will be issued a 14-day visa.
- If the necessary costs are paid, travellers can stay an extra sixty days.
- Every major airport in the United Arab Emirates will provide the visa-on-arrival service.
- Before departing, travellers who fulfil the qualifying requirements do not require prior visa approval.
- Those who want to remain longer might do so by paying the relevant costs in the United Arab Emirates.
