There will be a commemorative event on Friday, November 3, at 10 a.m., to honour UAE Flag Day. The 11th edition of the yearly commemoration, observed by people all around the country on November 3, is happening this time.
Originally seen in 2013, the concept came from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai and the UAE's vice president and prime minister. The event honours the anniversary of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan's 2004 election to the presidency of the United Arab Emirates. Although it is not a public holiday, it is observed annually.
HH Sheikh Mohammed asked people to commemorate the anniversary this year as well as businesses and government agencies.
