UAE federal government employees will receive their monthly salaries in advance by Monday

NewsOn Monday, April 17, employees of the UAE's federal government will receive their monthly paychecks. The salary would be paid in advance per His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's instructions as Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, according to WAM.
Such instructions used to be sent to families so they could go shopping and get ready for the Eid vacations.
The first long weekend of 2023 will be marked by the Eid Al Fitr festival, which is observed after the holy month on the first of Shawwal, the month that comes after Ramadan in the Hijri calendar. Thursday, April 20, through Sunday, April 23, are the most likely dates.
On Thursday, March 23, the holy month officially started in the Emirates. Depending on when the moon is seen, the length of an Islamic month is either 29 or 30 days. This year, according to astronomical estimations, Ramadan will span 29 days.
