UAE citizens to perform Umrah in Saudi should apply for a permit through the Nusuk app

The UAE has urged its citizens who want to travel to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah during Ramadan to apply for a permit through the Nusuk application.

Before travelling to the Kingdom to perform Umrah, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation urged citizens to follow the rules for safe travel.

For them to be able to acquire Umrah permits, they must first register via the Nusuk app. In order to prevent crowding, the ministry encouraged Emirati nationals who wish to perform Umrah during Ramadan to make sure they acquire the necessary permits and adhere to the designated date.

Nusuk app is available to download from the Apple Store and Google Play.

Saudi Arabia announced earlier this month that pilgrims can apply for permission to conduct Umrah during Ramadan via the Nusuk app.

Based on the capacity of the Grand Mosque in Mecca, the platform will help domestic and foreign pilgrims discover open dates to conduct Umrah, according to the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

During Ramadan, pilgrims are only allowed to carry out the ritual once.
