Tourists with visit visas for Dubai are advised to have Dh3,000 in cash, a valid return ticket, and documentation of their accomodation, before boarding a flight to the emirate.

Authorities are making sure that tight entry requirements are obeyed, according to experts. Some travelers claimed they were detained at Indian airports and denied access to board their flights because they did not match the standards. Others claimed to have become stuck at Dubai airports.

Although this regulation has been in place for a while, according to travel brokers, authorities have recently increased monitoring for the safety of travelers.
