Travel time to and from Dubai's Majan and Al Barari communities has been slashed by up to 50%

As the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) finishes a number of projects, residents of Majan and Al Barari neighbourhoods in Dubai will experience less traffic jams and more seamless travels in and out of their neighbourhoods. 

Following improvements at their entry and departure points towards the Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Road, travel times to and from these locations have been reduced by up to 50%, the RTA announced on Tuesday.

The major highway's traffic delays have also decreased as a result of the modifications, from nine to four minutes.

According to the authorities, traffic has been redirected from a tunnel to a reversible lane system, and a junction with traffic lights has been established at the entrance to the settlements. 

The upgrades are a part of the RTA's attempts to maintain efficient traffic flow as the emirate experiences increased density brought on by ongoing economic growth.
