NewsThe Alipay+ app allows users to pay for their taxi charges conveniently and safely when they are travelling in Abu Dhabi. The goal of the service launch, which supports electronic payments, is to give consumers a variety of flexible payment alternatives. This was stated by the Abu Dhabi transport authority. The technique of paying taxi fares via the Alipay+ application is regarded as safe and easy to use. Passengers may scan the QR code on the POS devices after arriving at their destination to ask the driver to start the payment process. Both the driver and the passenger will receive alerts after the transaction has been completed and verified by the passenger.
Working with the innovative fintech business "PayBy," Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, and other key partners, the service has been included in the taxi fleet throughout the Emirates. Through ten distinct electronic wallets, Alipay+ has over 1.4 billion users globally. It provides increased flexibility for taxi riders who prefer digital payments, especially visitors who use digital wallets exclusively.
Customers who have credit cards can now add their cards to their Alipay+ accounts to pay for cab fares. If you don't have a credit card, you may use online bank cards or cash at certain kiosks to top up your electronic wallets, and then use the Alipay+ app to make payments.
This effort seeks to satisfy the expectations and goals of the ITC's consumers and improve their happiness by offering electronic payment wallets as part of the digital transformation strategy that the ITC and the private sector implemented. The strategy aims to enhance the user experience and facilitate the creation of easy and convenient transit in Abu Dhabi. This aligns with the ITC's goal of using contemporary technology to develop Abu Dhabi as a transport hub that is both smart and sustainable.
