Three-lane Zaa'beel Palace Street Bridge will now connect Zaa'beel Palace Street and Oud Metha Road to Al Khail Road

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said on Thursday that the construction of a new bridge connecting Zaa'beel Palace Street to a major roadway is now complete.

Now connecting Oud Metha Road, Zaa'beel Palace Street, and Al Khail Road to Abu Dhabi is the 700-meter-long, three-lane Zaa'beel Palace Street Bridge. According to the RTA, the bridge will shorten travel times and accommodate 4,800 cars per hour.

The RTA revealed its plan to enhance the Al Khail road, which includes the new bridge, in February of this year.

Five new bridges will be built as part of the Dh700 million project, removing traffic jams along the route. After the project is finished, travel time will be reduced by thirty percent.

Road rehabilitation projects will be undertaken in a number of sites, including Zabeel, Meydan, Al Quoz 1, Ghadeer Al Tair, and Jumeirah Village Circle, according to the RTA's release.
