The three-day inaugural Industrialist Career Fair in Abu Dhabi is an “empowering platform” for Emirati talent

The first Industrialist Career Fair was held in Abu Dhabi, and hundreds of young Emiratis participated. The three-day event, which is the first of its type in the area to bring manufacturers and job seekers together under one roof, is an "empowering platform" for Emirati talent, according to a top official from the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT). Up to 500 Emiratis can apply for jobs in advanced technology and industry at the sector-focused event. Job seekers from Emirati gathered in front of the tables of participating companies early in the day in an attempt to impress recruiting managers and get available positions.

Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Sarah Al Amiri, Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology, and Omar Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary of the MoIAT, are all attending the event. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE), the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (Nafis), the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), and the ADNOC Group are collaborating on the MoIAT-led programme.At the exhibition, around 73 industrial businesses will have more than 500 open positions.

Al Suwaidi commended the industrial companies' and strategic partners' cooperation, as well as their eagerness to provide hundreds of varied job and training opportunities in fields such as accounting, supply chains, business and financial management, information technology, science and engineering, and human resources.

The Abu Dhabi Energy Centre will host the exhibition till Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

In addition, there are specialised training programmes offered by organisations like the Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute (ADVETI) and the Centre of Excellence for Applied Research & Training (CERT) in the fields of industrial engineering, health and safety, production, maintenance, metallurgy, control, quality, and industrial automation.
