The second Dubai eSports and Games Festival, which begins on Friday, June 23, will bring together talented players from all around the world in Dubai. The gaming expo, which will take place at Expo City Dubai through Sunday, will include "non-stop gaming action where innovation meets excitement in the Middle East's most thrilling gaming event," according to Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), the event's organisers.
"The Festival is set to consolidate Dubai's rise as a global gaming industry hub and a focal point for the convergence of innovation in the media, gaming, esports, technology, and entertainment sectors," the DFRE noted.
Visitors will be exposed to a variety of games, from classic arcade games to cutting-edge metaverse games, thus DFRE further guaranteed that there is something for everyone. As competing local, regional, and international players compete at the greatest level, substantial prizes are also anticipated to be handed out.
Minecraft education challenge
This programme, which teaches students computer programming, is thrilling. The winning UAE school team will face an invited regional team in the championship game to decide the overall tournament victor, who will exhibit extraordinary creative abilities.
Retro zone
Any gaming convention would be incomplete without paying respect to vintage arcade games. The Retro Zone will transport players back in time to experience the all-time greats and biggest hits in the history of video games. They will play 55 games on more than 200 computers, consoles, and arcade equipment, ranging from the pixelated 8-bit appeal to the severe challenge of older games.

Darkness Road, a survival game created in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, is set in an Arabic-inspired world and will be making its premiere at the gaming expo. Darkness Road also has music that draws inspiration from the GCC, and the characters in the game depict regional and local accents, according to Hussain Ahmad Darwish, co-founder, producer, and managing director of Foxrito Studios, the company that created and developed Darkness Road.
