The Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) will host the second edition of Abu Dhabi Summer Sports (ADSS) 2023, featuring events on 27 indoor tracks and sports courts spanning 27,000 square meters. Two seven-a-side football fields, three five-a-side football fields, eight Padel tennis courts, three basketball courts—two of which are half-size—six badminton courts, three volleyball courts, one cricket field with green lighting, a Technogym cardio and functional workout facility, and a one-kilometer running track are all present.
According to Abdulaziz Mohammed, the ADSS 2023 official spokesman, the purpose of the event is to inspire community members to lead healthy lifestyles by participating in sports. There will also be a number of brand-new contests and activities for people, teams, families, and sports lovers of all fitness levels. These include the International Yoga Day event on June 21, the Aloft Charity Run on August 12, the mass indoor cycle challenge, the ring-the-bell event, and the Emirati Women's Day festivities. There are also four Champions League matches in football, basketball, badminton, and Padel tennis. Due to the great demand and positive participation shown in the previous year, the contests and side activities have been increased.
ADNEC Services, a division of ADNEC Group, is organising the event in conjunction with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council. In the presence of Aref Al Awani, general secretary of the Abu Dhabi sporting Council, and Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, managing director and CEO of ADNEC Group, one of the largest events offering sporting facilities specialised to players and sports aficionados was opened.
