The LEED Platinum-certified building is now launched as the UAE House of Sustainability

After being refurbished, the LEED Platinum-certified building is currently open as the UAE House of Sustainability. The UAE House of Sustainability in the Green Zone will be accessible to tourists from December 3 to December 12, according to the Year of Sustainability team. From November 30 to December 12, Expo City Dubai will host the COP28 climate change summit, which is open to both residents and tourists. "Microsensory guest experience that will showcase the breadth of the UAE's journey towards a net zero future" is what it will be offering.

The area is divided into three primary sections: Our Journey of Collective Progress, Sustainability Oasis, and Our Future of Sustainable Flourishing.

During COP28, it will be the site of public activations, such as PopCOP seminars held in the Sustainability Oasis. In addition to engaging in immersive activities and contemplative experiences, registered participants in this series of climate action workshops will be able to assess their own sustainable behaviours, learn about design principles and application techniques, and make a personal inventory of their sustainable habits. At COP28, participants will have the opportunity to express their thoughts and aspirations for the future to the climate leaders and negotiators.

The falcon, the national bird of the United Arab Emirates, served as the inspiration for architect Santiago Calatrava's design of the UAE Pavilion. It was the biggest pavilion, designed to resemble a falcon's wings in flight. It has 28 movable carbon fibre wings and integrated solar panels. Real sand dunes and a number of interactive pieces were on display in the pavilion.
